Calorie Deficit Smoothie

Here is a low-calorie smoothie recipe from our in-house nutritionist @lynsmartin...feel free to use the base ingredients and tweak it to make it your own. .

  • 1 cup kale

  • 1/2 cup almond milk

  • 1/2 cup coconut water

  • 1 scoop of whey

  • 1 banana

  • Sprinkle of cinnamon .

When you are looking to cut back on calories in your program here are some of our top suggestions when it comes to the smoothies you make.


1.Track what you are putting into it. πŸ“ˆ It’s really easy to mindlessly put things in the blender but they all add up. MyFitness Pal is a great tracker that allows you to make your own recipes while still understanding how much you are consuming. Measuring your food out on a scale also helps!

2. Avoid excess sugar where possible, always use the unsweetened versions of the liquid you put in the blender. We suggest low-calorie milk alternatives like almond or cashew milk.

3.Pack in the greens, they have a low caloric density but are filled with vitamins and minerals. Smoothies are a good way to get your greens in if you hate eating them. πŸ₯’
